COUNTY'S LINCOLN
Explore
Abraham Lincoln's connections to Champaign County in this new
exhibit. Ride in Lincoln's buggy, visit Kelley's tavern, visit
the photographer who took Lincoln's photograph, visit with Lincoln's
friend B.F. Harris.
History
is not the past.
It is a story about the past, told in the present
and meant to be useful in constructing a future.

are many of the ones presented in this exhibit.
Blacksmithing
on the Prairie
Performing
archaeology above ground, we have recreated the Chesebro Blacksmith
Shop for you within the walls of the museum. Come see the sights
and hear the sounds of a blacksmith shop as it would have appeared
in 1918.
The
Discovery Room
Newly renovated!
Use a blacksmith's tool to drill through a bar of iron, visit
the wigwam, find out what "horsepower" does. Camp
in a Civil War tent, try your hand at the telegraph keys! Get
involved with history!
Learn about
why and how collectors and museums collect. See the treasures
of some local collectors and find out how you can display your
own unique artifacts.
