Mr. Taylor was selected as a PROF (Professors Of the Future)
scholar in September 1999. He became a full-time Instructor,
teaching Psychology at Parkland College where he now teaches
part-time and has a full-time position as the Middle School
Advisor for Talent Search of the TRIO program. Mr. Taylor
has also taught GED and Orientation to College classes at
Parkland College.
Prior to his employment at Parkland College, Mr. Taylor
was employed at Prairie Center in Urbana Illinois, as an
Addiction's Counselor. As a counselor, he developed therapy
groups, conducted therapy group sessions and facilitated
client treatment plans. He also conducted individual counseling
sessions and maintained client's records.
Mr. Taylor is the father of three daughters and is married
to his wife, Anita, who is also employed at Parkland. He
and his wife met in High School and have been married for
20 years. Larry has various hobbies and loves to play chess.
