Ruby J. McEwen Weathersby

Ruby J. McEwen Weathersby was born in rural Mississippi (Pike County) in August, 1936.

She married Walter B. Weathersby in May, 1956. She is the proud mother of 7 children and the grandmother of 9. She's traveled the world with her military husband.

They finally settled in Rantoul, Illinois in 1981. Ruby's involvement with the Girl Scouts ranged from leader to co-service unit manager. She served on the Board of the Northern Champaign County Community Service Center for 9 years and 6 years on the Fire and Police Commission. She currently serves on the Board of Education of the Rantoul City Schools, a trustee on the Board a Greater New Light Baptist Church. Ruby has been a member of the Business and Professional Woman for 18 years, serving as President and District Director. She is committed to the betterment of life for everyone.
