African American Women

    

Ruth Anne Wylie

Daughter of Doris K. Wylie Hoskins, was born in Urbana, Illinois on August 27, 1939, one of ten children.

She attended grade, Junior High and High School in Urbana and graduated - Class of 1957. After graduation, she accepted employment with the State Universities Retirement System and retired after more than 20 years as Secretary to the Executive Director.

She is a 25 year member of the Provena Covenant Medical Center Auxiliary and has served in many areas: as a member of R.S.V.P.; as an Usher with the Krannert Center Senior Volunteers, and has rendered volunteer services with the American Red Cross; a volunteer with the Chanute Aerospace Octave Museum, Districts #4 and 116 of the Public School Systems, as a Lector at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, to name a few, and most recently with the Early American Museum in Mahomet.
